"The Islamic State" have reported about the seizure of two "Russian soldiers" on September 28. The video have been published, on which we can see the Russian citizens Roman Zabolotny and Grigory Tsurcanu just after their capture by terrorists of the "Islamic state". The journalists found out that Zabolotny was a member of a Cossack organization from the Rostov region, and Turcanu was an ex-member of the Airborne Forces and the member of the veteran organization "Combat Brotherhood". The video was discovered by the researching group named Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT).
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation have twice stated that the Russian servicemen were never captured by the terrorists of the IG. The Russian Foreign Ministry have promised to conduct "work on the establishment of citizenship and the possible location" of prisoners.

Опубликована видеозапись, на которой сняты российские граждане Роман Заболотный и Григорий Цуркану сразу после их захвата в плен террористами «Исламского государства». Журналисты выяснили, что Заболотный является членом казачьей организации из Ростовской области, а Цуркану — бывший военнослужащий ВДВ, член ветеранской организации «Боевое братство». Видео обнаружила исследовательская группа Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT). Министерство обороны РФ дважды заявило, что российские военнослужащие в плен к террористам ИГ не попадали. МИД РФ обещал провести «работу по установлению гражданства и возможного местонахождения» пленных.
